Our History
NSKK was established in the year 1967 by a few enthusiastic Malayalees who came to Hyderabad in search of livelihood. It all began with a reading room; the selfless and sincere efforts of the founding members combined with the generous support extended by other Malayalee friends saw this fledgling organization grow into its present stature. The local population too contributed their mite.
Many honourable members who nursed this budding organization in the early years are no more with us. We draw inspiration from the likes of late P.V. Pavithran, IPS, and the late H.K. Babu, IAS to mention just two. The former who was the City Commissioner of Police was our Chairman in the initial days; he held the post till his demise in 1994. On this occasion, we, the inheritors of their glorious legacy, remember and pay our respectful tributes to each and every one of our departed members.
We are pleased to inform you that NSKK currently operates two high schools and one KG School, providing quality education to students. We aim to create an environment where our students can thrive academically and develop their skills and talents. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff work tirelessly to ensure that each student receives the best possible education, preparing them for a successful future.
In addition to academic excellence, NSKK is also committed to preserving and promoting Kerala’s traditional art forms. We take pride in our unique initiative, NSKK Kalavedi, which offers training in various Kerala dance forms such as Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyattam. Our students have the opportunity to learn and showcase their talents in these beautiful art forms, fostering a sense of pride and appreciation for our cultural heritage.
Furthermore, NSKK Kalavedi also provides training in traditional percussion instruments such as chenda and maddalam. These instruments hold great significance in our traditional music and play a vital role in various cultural events and festivals. By imparting training in these instruments, we aim to preserve this ancient art form and instil a sense of passion and devotion in our students.
We believe that education should not be limited to textbooks but should encompass a holistic approach that nourishes the mind, body, and soul. At NSKK, we strive to create well-rounded individuals who have a deep understanding and appreciation for their roots while embracing the achievements and advancements of modern society.
